The Institute of Plant Breeding and Acclimatization, Grodkowice Experimental Station, focuses its work on plant cultivation and research. Plant production is focused on the production of certified seed material. Experiments are also carried out to check the yield potential of various varieties of cereals and rapeseed in the field, their resistance to diseases, and to assess the effectiveness of chemical plant protection products and the impact of different fertilization on plant yields.
IHAR in breeding new species of plants and animal husbandry. Educational activities include workshops, training and lectures for students, teachers, farmers, agricultural advisors and all people related to agriculture. Theoretical knowledge is complemented by field activities.
